Southern Guild and Galerie56 are thrilled to present 鈥渘o bats, no chocolate,鈥� a solo exhibition featuring handcrafted seating environments by South African artist Porky Hefer. Hefer鈥檚 latest collection is a vibrant showcase of animal-inspired sculptures designed to ignite a sense of play and wonder. With nine larger-than-life forms, each sculpture invites viewers to connect emotionally and physically with the natural world, fostering a sense of communion with rather than dominion over the animal kingdom.



At Galerie56 in Tribeca, 鈥渘o bats, no chocolate鈥� celebrates the remarkable talents and adaptations of various animals. From the migratory strategies of wildebeests to the role bats play in the pollination of chocolate, Hefer鈥檚 work highlights the intricacies of wildlife.
